Meditation Australia Registered Mentors
Meditation Australia’s mentoring pathway has been created to support Provisional Members in progressing to Full Membership through guidance, reflection, and practical teaching support from Meditation Australia Senior Members and Registered Schools.
To qualify for Full Membership, members must complete the following requirements:
- Meet all requirements for Provisional Membership
- Complete 30 hours of meditation teaching while receiving a minimum of 8 hours of mentoring from a Meditation-Australia registered mentor
- Attend a meditation retreat of at least two days where meditation is the primary focus and aligned with your intended teaching area
If you are a graduate of a Meditation Australia Registered School, we recommend returning to your training school in the first instance for mentoring. Below you will find a list of Meditation Australia registered mentors available to support you through this process.
Please note that all mentoring arrangements are to be made directly with your chosen mentor. This includes agreeing on mentoring fees, payment arrangements, session times, scheduling, delivery format (online or in-person), availability, and preferred communication methods. Each mentor operates independently, and Meditation Australia does not manage or oversee individual mentoring arrangements.
Each mentor operates independently, and Meditation Australia does not set or manage individual mentoring fees or arrangements.
To help track your progress, we recommend keeping a record of both your mentoring sessions and meditation teaching hours throughout the process, here is a template.
We encourage you to contact mentors whose teaching style, background, or area of expertise aligns with your interests and intended teaching pathway. For more information head to Mentoring Guidelines and Recommendations – Progressing from Provisional to Full Membership.

Having taught and mentored teachers of meditation for 4 decades, it is a pleasure to continue this work through the online Meditation Teacher’s Community. Through affiliation with the Meditation Community, there is the possibility to teach under supervision and be personally mentored by myself. While most in this program have completed training with me and my team, we are open to consider accepting like-minded teachers who have trained elsewhere. Best to email me directly if interested.

For over 20 years, I have mentored and trained meditation and mindfulness teachers through the Australian Centre for Meditation and Mindfulness (ACMM), and for 8 years have served on the board of Meditation Australia.
Online mentoring is available for meditation teachers seeking to progress from Provisional to Full Membership with Meditation Australia.
These rich and supportive sessions are designed to help you deepen your confidence, maturity, effectiveness and professionalism as a meditation teacher.
Teaching experience alone does not necessarily lead to embodiment, reflective capacity or professional maturity. Many teachers complete training, begin teaching, and then find themselves navigating complex situations, self-doubt, ethical questions, business decisions or facilitation challenges largely on their own.
These sessions are designed to bridge the gap between qualification and embodiment; supporting the ongoing inner and professional development that helps meditation teaching remain authentic, ethical, grounded and alive.
Alongside guidance and mentoring, you will learn within a community of fellow teachers. You will gain support, fresh perspectives and valuable insights from the shared experiences, challenges and successes of your peers.
Each session is practical, reflective and growth-oriented, helping you strengthen both your teaching and your direction as a practitioner and professional.
Participants leave each session with actionable insights, greater clarity, renewed inspiration and practical tools to support their development as meditation teachers.
ACMM Graduates can use these sessions to upgrade their qualification.
I look forward to welcoming you.

As a senior member of Meditation Australia and a current Board member, influenced by the teaching and wisdom of Dr Ian Gawler, I would like to assist provisional members to consolidate their teaching skills to become full members of MA.
Most of my meditation teaching has been in corporate settings: as the head of Learning & Development for a global law firm; as a senior teacher with Potential Project (a global corporate mindfulness training organisation); and at Allevi8 which offered 1:1 meditation mentoring programs for corporate employees diagnosed with or at risk of developing significant illness.
With nearly 50 years of meditation practice, 40 years of professional life devoted to adult learning and a meditation teacher since 2012, I have discovered many ways to improve your personal practice and to be more effective in the teaching of others which I would like to pass on to emerging meditation teachers.

I offer mentoring that’s warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that every teacher has their own natural style. My focus is on helping you recognise and trust that voice, and to develop a teaching approach that genuinely feels like yours.
I aim to help you build confidence and clarity, and to support you in teaching in a way that honours thoughts and emotions as an integral part of meditation — rather than something to transcend or push aside.
Drawing on more than two decades of experience running the Melbourne Meditation Centre and supporting teachers across many contexts, I bring a practical, psychologically informed approach. Together we explore your strengths, refine your communication, and look at the real interpersonal dynamics that show up in meditation work. The aim is simple: to help you teach in a way that’s honest, realistic, and genuinely your own.

I have been teaching meditation and mindfulness since 2008 and have maintained a personal meditation practice since I was 14 years old.
As an accredited mentor, I support meditation teachers as they move from training into real-world teaching. Many people complete their studies feeling inspired, only to discover that standing in front of a group, finding their own voice, and navigating the realities of teaching requires a different kind of learning.
My background as a counsellor, mindset coach, business coach, speaker, and meditation teacher allows me to offer mentoring that is both practical and reflective. I understand the challenges that arise in the early years of teaching, self-doubt, comparison, difficult participant experiences, confidence, and developing a teaching style that feels authentic.
Mentoring may include:
- Reflective one-to-one sessions
- Structured feedback on your teaching
- Guidance on responding to challenges that arise in classes
- Support in developing courses, workshops, and teaching formats
- Assistance in finding your authentic teaching voice
- Professional guidance on building a sustainable meditation teaching practice
My approach is grounded, supportive, and honest. Strong meditation teaching grows through practice, lived experience, self-awareness, and trust in your own way of teaching.
If you are working towards Full Membership with Meditation Australia, or simply looking for experienced guidance as you establish yourself as a meditation teacher, I welcome a conversation to explore whether we are the right fit.

I am passionate about the positive and transformative effects of meditation. For this reason, I love to guide and teach meditation and assist others who wish to do the same.
Since 2021, I have been a mentor with the Australian Centre for Meditation and Mindfulness, encouraging and supporting meditation teacher training students to realise their dreams of guiding and teaching (themselves and) others.
Through my business, since 2017, I have experience teaching and guiding individuals through one-on-one coaching, and groups through private classes, community groups and corporate and workplace training.
I am also aware of the power and importance of connecting with other teachers and guides, as a means to reduce the often isolating aspects of running a business, to learn from and support each other, and enjoy this journey together.
For all these reasons, I love to encourage others to realise their potential and share the power of meditation.
