Meet MA member Eloise Webb –
My services include breath meditations, mindfulness/awareness, loving-kindness ‘meta’, Yoga Nidra, spiritual and relaxation with visualisation meditations. I have been guiding meditations for clients over 18 years of age at the Daintree Clinic since October 2024. I have cultivated presence, compassion, and connection through my personal and professional meditation and mindfulness practices. My teaching style is trauma sensitive and invitational. Meditation sessions are conducted in a nurturing environment supporting physical, emotional and psychological health and wellbeing.
What’s the story behind your first meditation experience?
I started meditating personally in 2022 after reading about the benefits. I started with guided meditations on phone apps, and I then progressed to meditations without guidance.
What or who inspires you?
The entire team at the Australian Centre for Meditation and Mindfulness (ACMM) inspire me. As a past student with them I hold a lot of gratitude for all their knowledge and support during my studies.
My favourite quote is ‘walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet’ by Thich Nhat Hanh.
My favourite books are The Wise Heart by Jack Kornfield and Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach.
Cushion time: How long did you meditate for today?
Today I meditated for 45 minutes on my calm buddhi cushion.
Meditation Apps, yes or no?
Sometimes Insight Timer for bells and timing.
You’re the voice: Do you sing in the shower?
I love singing out loud whenever the opportunity arises.
The getting of wisdom: What’s the best, or most important thing, you’ve learned as a meditation teacher?
Compassion. Seeing the inner beauty in everybody.
What makes your heart sing and what have you come to value most?
Slowing down, nature walks and sit spots for recharging.
The best thing today: What’s the most inspiring or loveliest thing you’ve seen or experienced today?
A sticker with Just Breathe, a rainbow and a sun.
